One in six people experience some degree of hearing loss over his or her lifetime. That’s 50 million people, and the number is rising. Our passion is to create a world where everyone who chooses can hear us. And our passion compels us to raise awareness of this cause, educate those willing to understand, and support those whose lives can be improved through better hearing health.
We advance this mission through an array of partnerships, service opportunities and fundraising activities such as:
Serving the York County Literacy Council's Buck-A-Book Program held in York County Schools to reward students for reading and raising money to help others!
Supporting Sertoma's national fund- and awareness-raising event, Celebrate Sound: Don't Walk in Silence which was created to help members, clubs and national affiliates promote hearing health in local communities.
Partnering with SpiriTrust Lutheran Deaf Connections to provide free hearing screenings to children ages birth to five (5) years old.
Supporting the national initiative Operation Paperback by collecting and donating used paperback books for soldiers, veterans, and their families.
And many other opportunities for you to become involved.
