Throughout the year our club promotes the donation of used hearing aids to the National Hearing Aid Project.

The National Hearing Aid Project is a unique model and one-of-a-kind collaboration created by Hearing Charities of America.  It addresses the increased demand for hearing aids by providing hearing aids to low-income individuals on a national scale.

When you donate used hearing aids to this tax-deductible organization you've already made a difference in someone's life as the National Hearing Aid Project does the rest by: accepting and reviewing applications for hearing aids; refurbishing hearing aids; performing hearing health evaluations; and, soliciting support and services from others who can help support the project

Every Christmas season Sertoma Club of York participate in the Salvation Army of York's Red Kettle Drive by ringing bells over several hours at one of the local campaign locations.

Our members always bring enthusiasm and excitement to this service event and embrace the mission and use of all funds raised by the Salvation Army during this seasonal fundraising drive.

For many of our members the phrase "income taxes" equals "service opportunity"!  Through a volunteer partnership with SpiriTrust Lutheran's Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program our members serve as greeters at their sites throughout the County.  This program is sponsored by the IRS and provides free federal, state and local income tax preparation and filing for low-income individuals and families throughout York County.

Our members enjoy volunteering as greeters and being part of a volunteer-based team which serves thousands of our neighbors and saves hundreds of thousands of dollars in out-of-pocket tax preparation fees.

For more information on the many services offered by SpiriTrust Lutheran and how you can get involved please visit their website.
